Rental Agreement
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before renting any garment with Collected. By renting from Collected, you automatically agree to and are bound by these terms and conditions.
Collected reserves the right to take all steps necessary to collect any outstanding money or fees due as outlined in our rental agreement if terms and conditions are not followed.
All debt collection fees will be at your expense.
The rental of your garment is for the period of time that you have selected when securing your booking or as otherwise agreed upon between the customer and Collected.
Collected remains the legal owner of the garment at all times.
Rental fees
The rental fee for each garment is set out on the product listing. Rental fees are set according to retail value and cleaning requirements (factoring in dry cleaning costs for delicate items).
Cleaning
Please return your item unwashed. I know that seems a bit weird but it's because most items are delicate and could be damaged irreparably in the cleaning process. I arrange all cleaning to prevent damage, this is part of my rental service and covered in the rental fee.
Replacement, repair & extra cleaning fees
Please let me know if the item has been damaged in any way during the rental period. I will make an assessment of the damage and notify you of any further fees that you are liable for. This is at the discretion of Collected.
Please understand that sending garments in for extra cleaning or repairs means they are unavailable to be rented by other customers. Please look after your rental like it is your own so that others get the chance to enjoy it as well.
If the rental garment fails to be returned or is returned in irreparable condition the customer will be liable for a replacement fee up to 100% of the retail value of the garment. The retail value is displayed on the product listing.
This fee is to be determined by Collected by Kat and may be altered by Collected at any point.
If the garment is returned in poor condition due to stains, tears, cigarette marks or any other damage BEYOND normal wear, you will be liable for an extra fee relating to repairs or cleaning. For repair fees the cost will depend on the extent of the damage and will be at Collected discretion.
For garments that require dry cleaning the cost is included in the rental fee however this does not include any alcohol, food, fake tan, make up or other markings that require extra cleaning to be undertaken. If the garment is returned in an unacceptable state, an additional dry cleaning fee of $25.00 will be charged to you. This is at Collected discretion.
Cancellations & refunds
Once your rental has been secured with payment made no refunds will be issued.
If you decide to cancel your rental for whatever reason, please contact Collected directly, as a credit can be issued to you.
Late fees
If you fail to return the item/s on time, a late fee of $20.00 will be charged per day the garment has not been returned. If the garment has not been returned within three days, you will be required to pay a further full rental fee as unreturned items are unavailable to other customers to rent and enjoy.
If you have any issues returning your rental item please contact Collected at the earliest opportunity to work out a solution.
My pledge to you
Collected will dispatch your garment for delivery via NZ Post 1-3 day service (the fastest available) in time for the date you have selected. In store pick ups will also be available up to 4 days prior to your event.
Collected takes no responsibility if the garment does not fit you. I try to describe the garments fit factually and clearly for customers to help them choose their rental but ultimately this is the customer's responsibility.
Collected takes no responsibility for any NZ Post non or late deliveries.
All garments should arrive in good condition but if you have any concerns after receiving your garment please contact me within 4 hours after receiving your garment, after this time frame it becomes the customer's responsibility.
Your pledge to me
Once you receive your rental garment from Collected you are responsible for it. Please look after it like it's your own as it is precious to me.
Please make sure you place your booking to allow enough time for it to be posted to you. If your event is Friday the booking needs to be made by Monday at the latest for it to be sent on Tuesday. NZ Post no longer guarantee an overnight courier service so post may take up to three days therefore any bookings made within a few days of your event run the risk of your rental not arriving in time which is stressful for everyone. Please ensure you have entered the correct address for delivery and there is a safe place to leave your parcel or someone will be there to receive it.
You are required to return the garment on the next business day after your event. Collected provides a return post bag, this needs to be at a post shop by 1pm the next business day or a late fee of $20 will incur. If the garment has not been returned within three days, you will be required to pay a further full rental fee.
